    The etymology of its name comes from the Latin "verte” (“to turn”) and means “the highest point”. Vertis is the maximum expression of the vine it belongs to: obtained from grapes coming from the longest-lived vineyards, about twenty years old and with southern exposure, it is a wine with two years of evolution and characteristics that make it possible to unmistakably recognize Verdicchio di Matelica.

     

    Soil type: clayey-limestone

    Grape variety and blend: Verdicchio 100%

    Grape yield per hectare: 90 quintals/ha

    Harvest time: October

    Refinement: 8 months in stainless steel tanks and 4 months in the bottle
